Our Story

Founded in 2000 by Russ Hardy and Lucy Broadhead, Boomerang Stables has been built from the ground up with dedication and hard work. Russ, originally a farrier from Melbourne, Australia, moved to England in 1995 to compete in eventing and dressage while continuing his farriery to support his team. Lucy returned from Andorra in 1996 to focus on eventing.

Top-Class Facilities

• Cross Country Schooling Field – Developed in 2003, offering a wide range of training options for all levels.
• Wombat Arena – Built in 2017, a state-of-the-art training facility designed for optimal performance.

Both Russ and Lucy have extensive competitive experience, with achievements including:

• Russ Hardy – Grand Prix dressage and 4* eventing
• Lucy Broadhead – 4* eventing and 1.40m show jumping

Our Team

Boomerang Stables is run by a dedicated and hardworking team, assisted by Pawel and Sandor. With Russ’s expertise in multiple disciplines and hands-on approach, we handle nearly all aspects of the facility’s maintenance and development ourselves.
