Description:
This quality, full-up 12hh registered Welsh Sec A gelding has been an integral part of our family for the past 2 years, and he has taken part in a variety of pony club activities including two summer camps, rallies, and many local shows. He’s also enjoyed arena eventing, showjumping (40cm), handy pony competitions, fancy dress, fun rides, and lots of farm hacking.
He’s been ridden on and off the lead rein and is very good in traffic, as well as used to heavy farm machinery, dogs, and children running around. He’s easy to ride, whether on his own or in company, and enjoys hacking through open fields. He has no trouble with natural obstacles such as ditches, logs, and footbridges.
This little pony is a good jumper and moves nicely, always carrying himself well. He’s not strong and has always been ridden in a snaffle. He would make a lovely M&M working hunter pony, a fun jumping pony, or a hunting pony with the right jockey to produce him.
Health:
- No known health issues
- Clean limbs
- Teeth, vaccinations, and worming are up to date
Temperament:
A very friendly character, he is easy to handle at home. Good with other horses, he’s easy to catch and loves attention. My children lead him in from the field and ride him bareback to and from.
Suitable for:
While he’s done lots of teaching young children on the lead rein, he isn’t a first-ridden pony as he can occasionally be cheeky with a buck. Off the lead rein, he would be suitable for a confident 1st/2nd rider looking for a pony to have fun with.
Price: Negotiable to the right home. For the right person, he is a quality pony with great potential.
