Exceptional Show Pony Prospect – Rising 4-Year-Old Connemara Gelding

Due to a change in job circumstances, I am offering Roo, a rising 4-year-old bay Connemara gelding, for sale earlier than planned. Originally purchased as a summer project, he is now available to the right home.

With full Class 1 breeding and close relatives who have placed at HOYS, Roo has all the qualities to develop into a top-class show pony.

A genuine sweetheart, he is kind, friendly, and enjoys attention, particularly from our riding school children. He loves an ear scratch and is easy to handle in every way.

Roo has been lunged in full tack without concern and has walked out on the road, encountering traffic. While we have not taken him onto the main road due to its busy nature, he has shown confidence in his surroundings.

He has loose jumped up to 1m with ease, demonstrating scope and careful technique, making him a strong HOYS Workers prospect. He would also excel as an all-round riding club pony, given his natural ability and temperament.

He stands patiently for grooming, picks up all four feet politely, and settles well in both individual and shared stabling. When he first arrived, he was slightly cautious of people, but this quickly passed, and he now comes in happily for work.

Roo is open to a full vetting, and transport can be arranged within the UK.
